How far in advance should I contact Allo Ronrons to book a service?
Ideally, you should contact us as soon as you know your departure and return dates, or as early as possible. For service requests during the summer, holiday periods, or the end-of-year holidays, we recommend contacting us at least six months in advance. We process requests in the order they are received.

Can I meet the cat sitter before entrusting her with my cat?
An initial meeting with Bérénice (owner of Allo Ronrons) is offered for all first-time bookings. This meeting at your home is an opportunity to answer any questions you may have and to hand over the keys if you have booked an in-home service. It also allows you to establish an initial bond with your cat and note the location of their familiar items. For any additional meetings with Bérénice or another cat sitter, the fee is $18.00.
What is the cancellation policy?
Reservation Changes : Modifying a reservation may incur fees, in accordance with the current cancellation policy and pricing schedule. If the reservation dates are changed, the service will be considered canceled and rebooked for a different date. No credit note will be issued for reservation changes.
Services booked and already paid for : If the cancellation occurs more than 3 weeks before the start of the service, you will receive a full refund of the quoted price. If the cancellation occurs less than 3 weeks before the start of the service, you will receive a refund of 80% of the quoted price. If the cancellation occurs less than 72 hours before the start of the service, you will receive a refund of 50% of the quoted price. In the event of cancellation on the day of the service or during your stay at the Hotel, no refund will be issued for the entire cancelled period.
Reserved but unpaid services : If the cancellation occurs less than 3 weeks before the start of the service, a cancellation fee of 20% of the total will apply. If the cancellation occurs less than 72 hours before the start of the service, a cancellation fee of 50% of the total will apply. In the event of cancellation on the day of the service or during a stay at the hotel, the full price quoted on the invoice must be paid to Allo Ronrons. These fees must be paid to Allo Ronrons via the terms specified in the contract no later than 2 weeks after the cancellation.
Note : Cancellation fees are used to compensate for the time spent on administrative work, as well as the space reserved in the catsitter's schedule / the space reserved at the Cage-free Hotel (a vacant space represents a significant loss for a small cat boarding house like ours).
How do you deal with shy or anxious cats?
For all cats, whether they are very sociable or more reserved, we adopt a kind and respectful approach that respects their boundaries. We always let a cat approach us on its own, which allows us to build a bond of trust from the very first contact.
Before meeting a cat, its owner must detail their preferences and temperament in a form that we will send them. This document is very important, as it allows cat sitter to adapt to each cat's habits and better understand its interaction preferences.
Where do you travel to provide home services?
You can view the map of areas served by Allo Ronrons by clicking here.
Please note that, depending on the time of year, a booking request may not be successful if none of our team's cat sitters are available. Therefore, we recommend contacting us as early as possible.

What are the conditions for staying at our cat Hotel?
The conditions for staying at our cat daycare are as follows:
-
The cat must have a sociable temperament, not meow excessively and not show any behavioral problems that could be a nuisance.
-
A combined FIV/FeLV blood screening test must have been performed before the first stay.
-
3 vaccines must be up to date before its arrival: Basic PRC, Rabies, feline leukemia.
-
The most recent health record and vaccination certificates must be provided to Allo Ronrons, otherwise the cat will not be allowed to stay at the Hotel.
-
From May to October: the cat must have received flea treatment before its arrival, since it will have access to the outdoor enclosure.
To ensure the safety of our guests, Allo Ronrons reserves the right to send home any cat that is sick, anxious, or becomes aggressive during its stay. Therefore, we ask that you provide an emergency contact who can take the cat home. In this situation, no refund will be issued for the remaining stay.
How are new guests introduced to the other cats at the Cage-free Hotel?
Each new guest benefits from a 3- to 5-day introductory period, during which they stay in a private room. The room includes cat trees, toys, hiding places, mats, a fountain, a nightlight, and a camera. In this comfortable room, the guest can explore, leave their scent marks, and become accustomed to the presence of other cats by smelling them under the door. Once the guest has settled in and asks to go outside, they can explore and meet the other cats! We attach fundamental importance to this period, which will largely determine how each boarder experiences their time at the Cage-free Hotel.
What should I bring for my cat's stay at the Hotel?
For its stay at our cat boarding Hotel, your cat will need:
-
His usual food in sufficient quantity.
-
If applicable, its automatic food dispenser.
-
His cushions and toys (not mandatory but recommended for the first stay).
-
His health record and vaccination certificates.
-
His transporter.
I would like to book a "trial stay" of a few days to see if my cat would be comfortable during a longer stay at your Cage-free cat Hotel. Is this advisable?
We strongly advise against trial stays of just a few days, as they don't allow a cat to properly adapt to a new environment. When a cat arrives at the Allo Ronrons Cage-free Hotel for the first time, it first spends 3 to 5 days in a dedicated room to get used to it. In all cat boarding facilities, this time is essential for the cat to become accustomed to new smells, humans, and other cats, while also allowing the existing residents to become familiar with its scent.
Once this initial step is completed, your cat will need another 3 to 5 days to explore the entire facility, visually meet the other cats, and fully settle in. This adjustment period is especially important if your cat has never been kept freely with other cats. Even if it has stayed in a classic boarding house before, it has never experienced this kind of environment, where up to four cats share the same space. This new social dynamic requires additional adjustment and therefore needs more time for it to feel secure.
A stay that is too short could be stressful and counterproductive, as your cat might associate this first Hotel experience with anxiety, thus complicating future stays. This initial immersion in a group setting is often crucial for all future experiences where your cat will interact with other cats. If your cat has a positive experience, it will be calmer and more confident during subsequent stays. To ensure a smooth transition and a positive experience, we therefore recommend a stay of at least 8 days for a first visit.
