Some passions aren't born: they're always with us. Mine has whiskers, velvet paws… and a sweet purr!

My name is Bérénice, and I'm the founder of Allo Ronrons, a cat-sitting company in Montreal. I offer in-home visits and care, as well as a cage-free cat boarding service, designed first and foremost to respect the well-being, sensitivity, and specific needs of each cat.

Allo Ronrons was born from a simple yet essential mission: to offer peace of mind to cats and their owners through attentive, professional, and deeply caring cat-sitting services.

 

 
A lifelong passion for cats

For as long as I can remember, I've always been passionate about all kinds of animals. But it was at the age of 8, with the arrival of Tips, my first cat, that my connection with cats truly took root.

From a very young age, I sought to understand cat behavior, their emotional and physiological needs, as well as their limits. Specialized books, television programs, and careful observation of my faithful companion: this is how I learned to decode the non-verbal language of cats. This nuanced understanding is now at the heart of my approach to cat sitting.

At 12, I started my very first job as a cat sitter, caring for neighbors, friends, and family in my community. My first job… and a true revelation! I then understood that taking care of cats was not just a pleasure, but a calling.

The creation of a professional cat-sitting service

Having arrived in Montreal in 2017, I pursued my studies in communications while continuing to pet-sit, naturally specializing in cats.

In 2018, I received training from animal health technicians to learn how to administer subcutaneous injections to cats, thus expanding my feline care skills.

After graduating at the end of 2019, I decided to create a pet-sitting service aligned with my values. With many years of experience and training in cat care, I opted for a service 100% dedicated to cats, guaranteeing professionalism, ethics, and compassion.

 

In 2024, I furthered my knowledge of feline behavior by taking a course offered by Educhateur, in collaboration with Dr. Antoine Bouvresse, a veterinary behaviorist, and Sandie Decortiat, a feline behavior consultant.

This course marks another step in my ongoing learning journey, which I plan to continue with a full course in behaviorism in the coming years.

 

 
Allo Ronrons: Cat sitting in Montreal since 2020

 

Allo Ronrons was launched on January 10, 2020, with the creation of a Facebook page. Initially conceived as a side project, Allo Ronrons quickly became a leading cat-sitting service in Montreal, despite launching in the midst of a pandemic.

The various lockdowns allowed me to develop local SEO, build relationships with several veterinary clinics in Montreal, and establish a strong online presence. As early as 2020, the first clients entrusted Allo Ronrons with their cat care, providing in-home visits and boarding (already cage-free!).

With the reopening of Canadian borders in 2021, Allo Ronrons became my main occupation, and I worked as a full-time cat sitter.

 

 
A passionate team

Until the end of 2022, I personally managed all services, working 7 days a week. To meet growing demand while maintaining a high level of quality, I gradually built a team of carefully selected, trained, and mentored cat sitters.

Each member of the Allo Ronrons team receives theoretical and practical training, covering topics such as cat care, cat and home safety, communication with cat parents, and handling special situations.

Recruitment is based on a rigorous selection process, prioritizing individuals with prior knowledge of feline health and behavior, assessed through in-depth interviews.

Our team of sitters works as independent contractors, a status that allows us to collaborate with dedicated and responsible professionals while ensuring consistent service quality through shared training and supervision.

 

To guarantee peace of mind for cat parents, each sitter's criminal record is systematically checked, and only those with a clean record are accepted.

Today, Allo Ronrons has a team of 10 to 15 sitters, including the administrative staff. A small, close-knit team, driven by the same passion, allows us to care for many cats in Montreal while maintaining a human and personalized approach.

I am deeply grateful to have seen this "little project" become a meaningful adventure. Allo Ronrons was born from a sincere love for cats and continues to grow, offering trustworthy pet sitting that respects animal welfare and the values ​​I hold dear.
